Robert Kaufman Fabrics' Kona is a premium solid color cotton. Since its introduction in 1984, Kona has become RKF's flagship line and is the most popular solid color cotton among quilters, crafters and all others who sew. It weighs approximately 5.4 oz. per running yard (4.35 oz. per square yard), per RKF's website. The GSM is approximately 145.
The longest continuous cut we can make is the yardage available (If more than 15 are listed, then 15 is the longest continuous cut available. The remainder would be a second piece.)
CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Wash cool to warm on a gentle cycle. Dry delicate to gentle. Any cotton fabric will shrink when washed and dried . Generally, the hotter the wash/dry temperature, the more the shrinkage will be. All cotton fabric has a chance for fraying along the edges when being washed. The internet is a great wealth in suggestions for minimizing this possibility.
